Cragside House was the first in the world to be powered by hydro electricity. In the heart of Northumberland National Park call in and visit Belsay Hall with 30 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds and Wallington Hall set in 300 acres of lawns, lakes and woodland. Head North again back towards Rothbury and you’ll stumble across the little hamlet of Great Bavington - it is here that probably one of the most famous designers of all time was born, lived and worked - Capability Brown.
