"Fabulous cottage in a great location. The cottage is very well equipped and lovely and warm. Will definitely be back to Seahouses and Bega's Bead. "

    Hughes party - Nov 2016

"Where do I start!! Arrived to blue sky and sunshine to discover this beautiful cottage and possibly one of the best equipped. Fantastic beaches to walk the dogs on as well as a boat trip round the Farne Islands. All in all a great holiday."

    The Bunkers - Nov 2016

"Had a great week in a really lovely cottage. I can't think of anything missing for the cottage at all - very homely and comfortable. All caught the sun on beach walks on Monday (Bamburgh) and Tuesday (Beadnell)."

    the McKeowns - Oct 2016

"We felt the photos of Bega's Bead didn't do it justice - we were totally blown away when we arrived for our week's stay. Situated here at Seahouses is ideal with a number of pubs and restaurants. This was our first visit but won't be our last. Thank you for our stay."

    The Howards - Oct 2016

"Beautiful holiday home for the week - 6th stay in Seahouses and Bega's Bead is the best one yet! Extremely well equipped and spacious - a fantastic house for a family, our teenagers loved it too! Thank you."

    The Pennocks - Sep 2016

"Beautiful holiday home for the week. Sixth stay in Seahouses and Bega's Bead is the best one yet! Extremely well equipped and spacious - a fantastic house for a family, our teenagers loved it too! Thank-you."

    Clare & Nige Pennock & family - Aug 2016

"We had a great time in this house. It made looking after our 2 boys much easier. The owners really have thought of everything. The weather was the best we have ever had on holiday in the north east. Thanks very much."

The Robertson family - Jul 2016

"Well, what can we say!! What an amazing place. The cottage is beautiful. Never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. Seahouses is a beautiful place. We would not hesitate to return. We stayed here with a family of 7 for our grandson's first birthday and had an amazing time. 10/10 - thank you."

    The Pickerings - Jul 2016

"Well, where do i start!! What an amazing cottage in a fabulous location. The cottage itself is well equipped and everything of an excellent standard. We cooked in most nights as we didn't wish to leave the dog on her own as we don't crate her. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed and sitting in the dining room with the light coming in was a bonus. This is a great place to stay as it was close to all amenities and as my mother can't walk far the cottage was perfect. No hesitation in returning to this comfortable, magnificent property. 10/10. Thank you."

    Cottingham party - Jul 2016

"The best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated and furnished, very spacious, excellent location just a short stroll from the harbour. Incredibly well equipped so that even if it had rained all week there was plenty to keep us occupied - games, jigsaws, dvds, huge selection of books, enormous kitchen with every utensil you could possibly want. Loved waking every morning looking up at the sky through the skylights in the bedroom, and enjoyed eating in the little courtyard garden, although we didn't get to use the barbeque. There were 4 of us staying, but there was plenty of room for 6 or 8, with ample bathrooms and 2 lounges. Seahouses is a lovely village with plenty of shops and places to eat. The harbour has trips to the Farne Islands to see all the seabird colonies and seals, which was the highlight of our trip, but there is so much else to see in the area with beautiful beaches, numerous castles and stunning countryside. A week was definitely not enough and we look forward to going back."

The Bliss Party - Jul 2016

"Lovely cottage, excellent location. Weather was better than expected - always a bonus! Made some lovely meals in the very well equipped kitchen. Great place to chill in the evenings after long walks. Dogs loved it! Thank you."

"Best holiday cottage we've visited so far. Wonderful kitchen with everything we needed and had no need to go out buying equipment. Fantastic beach just down the road, along with our favourite pubs - Ship In and Bamburgh Castle hotel. We had 2 BBQs and found everything we needed in the cottage. Housekeeping when we arrived was exceptional and we all felt instantly at home. Will hopefully return in the near future. Thank you!"

"A very nice holiday cottage, great location. Very, very windy for most of our stay - made for some very interesting beach walks. Can't fault the area for shopping needs - very helpful and friendly. The dogs are more than happy with the long walks. The children love the beaches - our fourth visit to the area .... we will be back next year. Thank you for a fantastic base."

"A beautiful holiday cottage with fantastic attention to detail with every need catered for. Knew at time of booking that location was close to harbour and beach but didn't realise just how close, which was fabulous for both us and our dogs - we all had a wonderful time and would have no hesitation in coming back to lovely Bega's Bead."
