    Causeway Barn is a 2 bedroomed beautifully converted stone property located less than one mile off the A1 north/south main road to the south of Berwick upon Tweed and provides excellent access to all the coast and castles of Northumberland, the Scottish Borders as well as Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital city.

    Its location is adjacent to a private access road that was built originally by the Romans and is known as, “The Devil’s Causeway,” hence the name Causeway Barn.

    Outside Causeway Barn swallows dart in the sky above and deer, foxes and buzzards form part of an abundance of wildlife that are often seen. In spring and summer guests can enjoy the cows grazing peacefully with their calves in the field beyond the Causeway whilst the sun rises over the sea beyond, one mile away. Here, long stretches of sandy beach and the Northumberland Coast and Castle Cycle Route stretch southwards past Goswick Golf Course through the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve to Holy Island - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
