"The Cartshed strikes again! Mixed weather. Rest, relaxation and the wonderful dunes and beaches from Seahouses to Bamburgh have ensured we have relaxed and recharged. I've lost count of the times we've stayed at The Cartshed and it feels like a home-from-home. The area is spectacular and its location is perfect. Another wonderful week at The Cartshed."

    The Utleys - Oct 2016

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cartshed. The weather has been good, enabling us to get out and about every day. Lots of beach walks with our Boxer dog and excellent lunches at various dog-friendly pubs. Altogether a good holiday in a top quality cottage, to which we hope to return."

    The Oldhams - Sep 2016

"First time in Northumberland. Loved it, amazing beaches, great walks and the Cartshed is perfect. We will be back."

    Miss Talbot - Sep 2016

"Been to Northumberland lots of times, really great place to spend time. Excellent beaches from Craster all the way up to Budle Bay. Helped having great weather! The dogs have been worn out on a night. We will be stopping in The Cartshed again, really good base to use. Excellent place to stay - immaculate."

    Lamb family - Sep 2016

"This was our first trip to The Cartshed and it was stunning. The website does not do the property or the management team justice and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and level of detail and the helpfulness of the staff in the office. We have visited this coast before so all the usual sights - Bamburgh, Craster, the beaches, Alnwick etc are well known and much loved."

The Flemings and Matthews - Aug 2016

"This was our first trip to the Cartshed and it was tunning. The website does not do the property or the management team justice and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and level of detail and the helpfulness of the staff in the office. We have visited this coast before so all the usual sites - Bamburgh, Craster and Dunstanburgh, the beach and Alnwik - are all well known and much loved and worth a visit if you hae not been. But also check out the farm shop and cafe at Sunnyhill FArm in Belford, The Joiner's Arms in High Newton and Elan pizeria in Seahouses. If the worst happens and you need a GP the staff at Belford Medical Practice are highly recommended and to unwid visit Ocean Spa in Seahouses Have fun.... "

    Matthews & Flemings - Cheltenham + Viva the dog - Aug 2016

"We chose to come from the very busy Lake District to enjoy a few days here, walking along gorgeous beaches, even in August when Seahouses is packed with happy holidaymakers, you can find space. Big skies, beautiful beaches and a fabulous cottage. The Old Cartshed suited us perfectly - with a 98 year old mother and our little Westie it had everything we could have asked for. Thank you so much for the extra chair with arms, it was great! We discovered The Old Cartshed when we were staying on the caravan site, Westfield Paddock, in our motorhome and it has been just right - thank you. We feel sure we will be booking the old Cartshed again soon! Compliments to all staff in the office - they are so helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Well done!"

    Kingdon family - Aug 2016

"Our 2nd stay at The Cartshed. Still as nice as the 1st stay and felt at home striaght away."

    Waring family - Aug 2016

"Another fantastic 2 weeks at the Cartshed. As usual, lovely walks, great beaches. Fantastic service from the staff at Stay Northumbria who are so helpful and attentive. Roll on next year!"

    The Morgans - Aug 2016

"We could find no faults with this property. A truly lovely holiday including the puffins from our 'bucket list'. Cartshed very comfortable and beautifully equipped, not a thing missing. Now we are off for our last pub dinner in Newton before the long journey home. Only thing missing, the Dark Skies - it just doesn't get dark here in July!"

The Russells and Knaptons - Jul 2016

"3rd excellent stay at The Cartshed. Did all the old haunts - Farnes, Newton, Beadnell etc. Fabulous to see barn owls flying over the dunes beside St Aidans beach in the evening."

The Dunns and Melvilles - Jul 2016

"Arrived from Newbury, late afternoon. Wow, what a great place and a great location for us to explore Northumbria. The weather was a bit mixed in the first week, much better in the second. Overall a fab holiday and we will come back for sure. Love the chickens who have no fear of dogs! Pity the same can't be said of the local motorists who speed past the cottage! Thanks for a great stay. See you again soon we hope."

    Hendry family - Jun 2016

"We've had a great week at the Old Cartshed. The accommodation exceeded all our expectations - thank you all."

    Lewin family - Jun 2016

"We have very much enjoyed our stay at The Cartshed. It is very comfortable and extremely wel equipped. It is in reasonable walking distance of Seahouses on a more or less traffic-free route, but is in a very quiet location. We have walked along the beach to Bamburgh and back through the dunes and also to Beadnell. We have had a couple of minor problems and Stay Northumbria have provided an excellent service in sorting them out. Many thanks for a great holiday!"

Jill and Anna - May 2016

"First family break with grandparents and granddaughter (11 months). A really well presented cottage with absolutely everything we could need. A beautiful location with stunning beaches an walks. The enclosed courtyard was great for our toddling baby and dog. We will definitely come again! Thank you."

    The Robinsons - May 2016

"Once again a superb stay at The Cartshed, with the added bonus of superb weather! Some stunning walks on the beaches, particularly Craster to Alnmouth. The bus service is particularly good on long walks. The flora and fauna are particularly good at the moment. All in all a great week. Thank you."

    Noble family - May 2016

"Another relaxing stay! We have had everything the weather can give. We sat inside with brilliant sunshine streaming in and hailstones dropping in the yard outside, then thunder and lightening overnight! The British weather!! However, this did nothing to dampen our enthusiasm for the beach and Bamburgh. The Cartshed is an ideal position in that you can walk if you wish, or take the car for a lazy day. We really enjoyed our stay."

    Utley family - May 2016

"Another lovely stay at The Cartshed! Eggs purchased from across the road were delicious! Dinner at St Aidan's Hotel bistro highly recommended. Walks along Bamburgh and Beadnell beaches were heavenly and thoroughly enjoyed by the dogs. All in all sad to be going home but already planning our third trip! The Cartshed is an excellent cottage, very cosy, well appointed and a relaxing place to stay. Thank you once again."

    McGechaen family - Apr 2016

"Lovely stay in a lovely cottage. Walk via St Oswalds Way to Bamburgh and back along beach to Seahouses is lovely. Despite the weather we have had a lovely break and The Old Cartshed was a lovely comfortable place to spend time in, if you don't want to brave the elements! This cottage is now on our list of great places to stay. We have really enjoyed our stay. Thank you."

    Throp family - Apr 2016

"This was our fist visit and we certainly plan to come again. The cottage is lovely and comfortable and we appreciated the welcome packs (K9 included!). It has everything you could wish for, thank you. Area is also beautiful and, despite pretty average (and at times awful) weather, we still got out and about and did one of the things we came for - long coastal walks!"
