Coquet Cottage is one of 3 stone built properties based in the hamlet of Alwinton, Northumberland. In addition at the same site there are 3 separate wooden chalets making this an ideal location for one property to rent individually or for larger groups the opportunity exists to rent more than one of the properties for extended families/friends.

It is ideally situated for anyone interested in walking, cycling, birdwatching, photography etc. If intersted in astronomy, the cottage and area offers great opportunities to star gaze at night over the dark skies park - recently declared Europe's largest 'Dark Skies' area.

Visitors to Coquet Cottage are welcome to bring one well behaved dog, and children are very welcome.

Alwinton lies to the West of Rothbury on the edge of the Northumberland National Park at the head of the Coquet Valley, 10 miles from the Scottish border and 18 miles from Alnwick. The village has no shops, and its social "scene" revolves around the Rose and Thistle Inn. On the second Saturday in October, the Border Shepherd's Show is held in the village, traditionally, it marks the end of summer and the time for hill farmers to begin preparations for winter.

The nearest shops are situated in Rothbury which has a Co-op, Bakers, Butchers, 3 pubs all serving food, and a handful of independent retailers.

There are currently no special offers for this property.
