Reviews

Fantastic modern cottage. Everything you could wish for. Well equipped, comfortable, spacious, 2 bathrooms and a proper bath. Great location, quiet but only a 15min walk into Seahouses for a meal or a walk on the beach.

Mr L,

Lovely, comfortable, warm, spacious cottage just perfect .Best cottage we have ever stayed in.

Mrs S,

We enjoyed our stay, really cosy and warm ,weather also was good

Mrs T,

An amazing property, one of the best we have ever stayed in. There is so much space, and it has everything you could ever need to stay there. We have already re-booked for 2024!

Mrs R,

The owner, Caroline, was so helpful at navigating us to the property, as the sat nav shared the same postcode with the holiday site/ farm next door. Our property far exceeded any expectations that we had- it was beautiful, light, airy and spacious with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The little cake on arrival was a lovely touch. The facilities included a separate washer and dryer, dishwasher, 2 tvs and a wealth of kitchen utensils. It was slightly off the beaten track, which suited us down to the ground and we parked the car up for a week and caught the little buses at the end of the road or walked. A wonderful little property, which we’d love to return to and would recommend without a moment’s hesitation.

Mrs D,

Very satisfied with our holiday booking and stay at the accommodation. No issues. We have used other cottage holiday companies previously and find equal service between them.

Mrs Carol J,

Location

Just a mile into the centre of Seahouses on foot, The Stables@Westfield offers access to the village and all its amenities, from the busy harbour where seating is provided so you can while away the hours watching the toings and froings of harbour life, or stretch your legs on the beautiful beaches which run North and South and are ideal for leisurely walks, or for those more adventurous try the 6 mile return beach walk to Bamburgh, or the 14 mile return journey to Newton by the Sea (great pub awaits for the mid walk break).
The Stables@Westfield is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker tho), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, resource centre for internet access, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (May to July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. The area is popular with birdwatchers and photographers.
Just 2.5 miles up the coast by road is Bamburgh and its wonderful castle on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach, and 15 miles south you'll find Alnwick Castle and Garden a popular spot for those with green fingers, and Harry Potter fans (the castle was Hogwarts and the site of the quiddich pitch in the 1st two films).
