A tardis - it's the only way to describe this Northumberland holiday cottage. From the outside you'd think small but just look at the pictures.

Our friends Vicky & Alistair and their family regularly use their holiday home so you'll find some real home comfort touches like real plants, the kids' toys, dvd's, cd's and games, all of which you are welcome to use, as well as a lovely rear garden which gets sun all day.

Set in the quieter inland sector of Seahouses, the property is still only a 15 minute walk to the beach and shops, pubs and restaurants in Seahouses centre, as well as the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands to see puffins, grey seals and many other species of bird. The cottage is also only 3 miles from the wonderful Bamburgh Castle and 15 miles north of Alnwick with its famous Castle and Gardens.

179 is an ideal base from which to explore the area, whether you are a walker, photographer, ornithologist or historian, there is something for everyone on the doorstep.
