Well, we are back again and another fantastic time has been had by all. The cottage is truly "home from home" We love the little improvements made particularly in the bathroom (new mirror ect ect) Power to the dishwasher woo-woo. My favourite piece of equipment and a God send when you make cooked breakfasts every morning - you set it away and its all done when you get back. We are here slightly later in the year this time, but weather has been kind although a little cooler. Its perfect position for local amenities - love "The Olde Ship Inn" and we've been to visit our favourite haunts of Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island with ease. Anyway cheers everyone - see you next year hopefully - Enjoy your visit.

Our 3rd stay in Kipper Cottage and very comfortable it is, plus a very smart new bathroom. The weather has been kind to us, just a little windy at times. Enjoyed walking along the beautiful beach at Bamburgh, also from Bamburgh to Budle Bay. Visited Alnwick Gardens again lots more to see and enjoyed Alnwick town as well. Bamburgh Castle Hotel has a very good Sunday Lunch. Very pleasant stay.

Another wonderful stay at Kipper Cottage. As ever total tranquillity, punctuated by energetic walks along the beautiful beaches. The walk to Bamburgh and lunch in The Victoria was a joy as ever. The boys made some mates from neighbouring cottages and played touch Rugby on the harbour beach sand. Bailey was on his best behaviour (most of the time) with the many of the other dogs and loved the freedom of the coast. Gary and Lisa just loved to relax, let the boys look after themselves and sneak of to their favourite pub (The Olde Ship) for a couple of well deserved afternoon pints!!!. See You soon

| We have has a wonderful week staying at "Kipper". The accommodation is fantastic and the location (stumbling distance from some great pubs) can't be beat. Gary enjoyed the local ales The Olde Ship, a pub how it should be!! We have had some lovely walks and Bailey the dog has enjoyed the freedom to run on his first holiday. The beach walk to Bamburgh followed by lunch at The Victoria (Dog friendly) is a must. Take a short drive to Low Newton and take the circular walk along the beach skirting the golf course. Ending up with a pint at The Ship (with it's own micro - brewery ). The boys favourite excursion was to "Pot - a - doodle - do" (25 mins drive just outside of Berwick) where they went Quid Biking!! The smiles on their faces were a site to behold. See you soon

wow what a lovely cottage and village everything we needed and more. The weather was very kind to us. We enjoyed the formality of Alnwick Gardens and the wildness of Howick. We have been so many places within a few miles, including Holy Island. Excellent meals at The Barn at Beal also The Black Swan across the road. We were fortunate with the weather so we could go to see the seal pups on the Farne Islands, a good trip out. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

The day we came I was really exited, I hoped it would be brilliant... and it was! My dad had started the holiday with a massive grumpy head. I don't know why, I don't think he knew why but whenever Mummy and I asked if he was exited he just frowned. He cheered up when we arrived, the cottage is fab - very comfy, it's so fab at night because it is so quiet - bliss. the seagulls wake us up in the morning. I have loved it at Kipper Cottage it has been a great experience I'd love to come again. Thank you it's been the TIME of my life. Fantastic visit to Alnwick Castle. Walk to Bamburgh beach terrific and Swallow Fisheries around the corner a real bonus. Off to Edinburgh Fringe tomorrow, top time. It's been absolutely BRILLIANT thank you very much. i loved it at St Aidans Dunes it was fab, its been an adventure..... an exiting one. We thank you for making it.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at Kipper cottage for the 2nd time. It was just as excellent as before. Enjoyed the walk to Bamburgh along the beach. Went to Alnwick Castle again. The Serpent garden was AMAZING !! All the water sculptures were spectacular to look at. we recommend Cragside because it's really interesting for adults and children. Also for horse lovers Slate Hall Riding School for confident riders or begginers. We had a lovely stay hope we come back soon.

The cottage was the best we ever stayed in, it was clean and tidy and had everything we could possibly need! It's the first time we've been to Northumberland and we have loved the lovely beaches and wildlife. We've enjoyed watching the Swallows swooping backwards and forwards to feed their young in the nest in the courtyard, so you don't even have to leave the cottage to watch wildlife. Thanks for everything and would definitely love to visit Kipper Cottage again.

This has to be the best cottage we have ever stayed in - what a welcome pack! such a sinful Swiss Roll. Did all our favorite trips - Holy Island - a boat trip to the Farnes, Bamburgh and the beautiful beaches. Best eats - The black Swan, Craster Arms in Beadnell and a super Sunday Lunch at the Victoria Hotel in Bamburgh. Must recommend the Armstrong Farming Museum at North Charlton - we must have been there over 2 hours and could have stayed even longer. All the cottage facilities are wonderful and so peaceful even so close to the harbour and shops. Wonderful walk on Cliff Top past caravan site to see the Kittewakes and their chicks. We'll be back

| What a wonderful way to spend Easter 2009! Favourite beach was Newton on Sea (out towards beadnell) with great home brew at the Ship! | Out second visit to Kipper Cottage it wasn't a fluke. Still as good as ever. The perfect base for visiting the beaches and harbour's of the North East and Scottish borders. There are too many beautiful caves to see in 1 week, all the way to Dunbar and North Berwick. An improvement on last year is the opening of the restaurant across the square at The Black Swan, meals are excellent are the ones at The Links Hotel at the end of the Street. |

We have enjoyed our stay in Kipper Cottage. Horrible night when we arrived but we soon got warm and cosy and appreciated the welcome pack. Rosie liked her bed and being a small dog she could have a good old stretch. The boat trip to the Farne Islands is a must to see all those birds and seals was wonderful they also welcomed Rosie aboard so don't be afraid to take your dog. Holy Island was a lovely day out and the Pub overlooking the Priory is very good for food. The Links Hotel next to the garage at the top of the street is excellent for your evening meal.

Only 50 yards outside the courtyard and you are on the top of the harbour wall, where seating is provided so you can while away the hours watching the toings and froings of harbour life, or stretch your legs on the beautiful beaches which run North and South and are ideal for leisurely walks, or for those more adventurous try the 6 mile return beach walk to Bamburgh, or the 14 mile return journey to Newton by the Sea (great pub awaits for the mid walk break). The cottage is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker tho), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, resource centre for internet access, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (June & July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. The area is popular with birdwatchers and photographers. Just 2.5 miles up the coast by road is Bamburgh and its wonderful castle on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach, and 15 miles south you'll find Alnwick Castle and Garden a popular spot for those with green fingers, and Harry Potter fans (the castle was Hogwarts and the site of the quiddich pitch in the 1st two films).
