Description
Cliff House Cottages - a courtyard of four 1 bedroom cottages in the old fishing quarter of Seahouses, close to the harbour and ideally situated for the amenities of the village, beach walks and other outdoor activities.
Each has a well furnished bedroom, open plan lounge kitchen diner and a shower room. No 2 is two storey, No's 3, 4 & 6 are single storey. No 4 can be a super kingsize double bed or twins. There is parking within the courtyard and all the cottages are superbly finished and comfortably furnished with quality leather sofas, tiled areas to kitchens and shower rooms.
All bedding, bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price and guests are provided with a welcome pack usually comprising of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cake, bread and a preserve, which is often home made lemon curd from the Stay Northumbria HQ.
We welcome dogs and they too get a K9 welcome pack.
Parking for 1 car immediately outside your cottage in the courtyard is provided, where there is also a picnic table so that you can make the most of sunny afternoons in the shelter of the courtyard.
Only 50 yards outside the courtyard and you are on the top of the harbour wall, where again seating is provided so you can while away the hours watching the toings and froings of harbour life, or stretch your legs on the beautiful beaches which run North and South and are ideal for leisurely walks.
These cottages are close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker tho), Pubs & restaurants, Newsagents, petrol station, library, resource centre for internet access, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (June & July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. The area is popular with birdwatchers and photographers.
Just 2.5 miles up the coast is Bamburgh and its wonderful castle on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach, and 15 miles south you'll find Alnwick Castle and Garden a popular spot for those with green fingers, and Harry Potter fans (the castle was Hogwarts and the site of the quiddich pitch in the 1st two films)
