Reviews

The cottage was clean and comfortable, everything you need for a self catering holiday is catered for. The radiators were easy to use, and the shower was lovely, the internet and TV were great for cosy evenings. For less mobile people I wouldn't recommend the stairs, and be careful of the beams when getting out of bed! The location of the cottage was great, no views but the harbour was just around the corner, and when the tide is in you can hear the sea from the bedroom. The cottage was ideally placed for some great walks or a bus/car journey to all the best Northumberland has to offer. Small and compact, but very comfortable for two people, and our dog enjoyed it too.

Previous Customer,

A clean, well appointed cottage in a lovely, quiet location. On site parking is a bonus.

Mrs P,

This was our first stay in 2 Cliff Cottages. Although it was much smaller than where we normally stay in Seahouses it was perfect for two. Nicely decorated, very comfortable bed, excellent shower and the courtyard location was much quieter than where we usually stay. We'd love to stay again, but see that the bookings are changing to Friday to Friday which we can't do so will have to find a different cottage that does Saturday to Saturday bookings for our next holiday in Seahouses.

Mrs G,

The cottage was very clean, well equipped and maintained. It is in a great location a couple of minutes walk to the harbour, town centre, shops, beaches and The Black Swan pub which is very good. The electric radiators (recently installed) are very good and keep the cottage at a good temperature. The downstairs living area is just about big enough for two medium size dogs and their crates but would be cramped with large dogs. You would also need to move the chair and sofa to open out the fold down table. The upstairs bedroom is nicely done, the bed was comfortable but would benefit from not having a bed end for those of us who are reasonably (6ft) tall and particularly as it is a standard double. It is also unfortunate that the window to the right of the bed is illuminated at night by a streetlamp, the window does have a shutter blind but the bedroom is never in full darkness. I would also not say that there is a wardrobe in the bedroom, I would describe it as a chest of drawers with a hanging rail section. The downstairs toilet and shower room is an OK size, you step up into the shower as opposed to it being "walk in". Take heed of the width warning of the archway that leads off the lane \ narrow road to the cottages parking area and entrances, we have a Hyundai Tucson and we did need to take a lot of care and attention going in and out to avoid the arch walls.
