Willow Cottage is a pleasant detached cottage situated in the grounds of the owners home on the edge of the small village of Stannington, near Morpeth. Newly constructed, it offers high quality contemporary holiday accommodation with splendid views across rural unspoilt countryside. Next to the cottage there is a family run farm shop selling an array of local produce with almost all the meat sourced from their own farm about 4 miles away, and 80% of the produce sold is sourced from within a 50 mile radius. There is also an on-site coffee shop with an extensive menu. Shop: 50 meters Pub: 1.5 miles.

However you want to spend your holiday, this lovely cottage is ideally situated only 3 minutes away from the A1, 15 minutes from Newcastle Airport and 5 minutes from Morpeth Railway Station. 

Situated at the southern end of the Heritage coastal route, Northumberland's stunning coastline is within easy reach. The coastline is noted for its varied wildlife, spectacular scenery and miles of clean, sandy beaches. There are several RSPB nature reserves nearby and boat trips are available from Amble to see the puffins on Coquet Island.

The historic town of Morpeth, approximately 5 miles away offers a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a bagpipe museum. West of Morpeth is Wallington Hall. Dating back to 1688 it is guarded by four fierce dragon heads and surrounded by carefully maintained gardens. Fishing, sailing, wind surfing, walking and the magnificent Cheviot Hills are all available nearby.

If shopping is your thing, then the Metro Centre, the UK’s second largest shopping centre with over 370 shops, is a mere 20 minutes drive. Alternatively, the city of Newcastle upon Tyne offers an amazing array of shops, bars, restaurants and places of historical interest.
