Description
Village House is part of the Bamburgh First collection of 17 different houses and cottages under the same ownership and with a consistent quality of interior design and attention to detail throughout. The interiors are professionally designed to suit each individual dwelling and the owner has tried to think of everything that will enhance the stay of every guest.
Village House is a grade two listed, 3 storey townhouse in the heart of Bamburgh Village. It has a lovely conservatory, and a well equipped kitchen that even has a NutriBullet and pressure cooker, spills onto a nice dining area and sitting room with an open fire with easy lighting logs. There are 4 bedrooms one with a view of the castle and 3 beautiful travertine bathrooms. There is also an outside barbecue area.
Inside the cottage guests will find some nice personal touches which include a tin of goodies, a bottle of wine, a voucher for a pound of the famous Bamburgh Bangers, a box of games including Scrabble, Monopoly and Cluedo and the owner’s personal guide to the 21 best things to do whilst in the area. Netflix is also included as is a portable Bose Bluetooth speaker.
It’s a three minute walk down to the magnificent Bamburgh Castle, which towers over the village green on one side and miles of sandy beaches on the other. At the end of the Wynding road to the lighthouse there is a breathtakingly beautiful links hilltop golf course. Guests of Bamburgh First can claim up to two free rounds of golf per property booked at Bamburgh Castle Golf Club - please see below for more information. Free games of Tennis underneath the castle on the village green are also provided to guests of Bamburgh First along with membership and discounted access to a gym and leisure club is also provided. If you love Bamburgh with its great pubs, tea house, shops and restaurants you will love this house.
Just to the north of Bamburgh is the Budle Bay bird sanctuary. To the south is the fishing village of Seahouses, which has boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see puffins and seals in the summer months. The market town of Alnwick with its historic (Hogwarts) Castle, Alnwick Gardens and the famous Barter Books, is 20 minutes away by car. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is 25 minutes to the North, and the Cheviot Hills 20 minutes to the West. The fishing village of Seahouses with its boat trips to the Farnes is 15 minutes to the south.
It’s also easy to reach all the pretty fishing towns on the coastline, Beadnell, Craster (home of the Kipper), Newton by the Sea, Alnmouth and Amble. Hadrian’s wall is less than two hours to the South. Shop: 10 yards. Pub: 10 yards.

Parking: No parking at property, but on street parking available (will be busy during holiday periods).

Bamburgh Castle Golf Club: The golf offer entitles you to one free round for two players, or two free rounds for one player. Offer is valid every day excluding Saturdays and game days. Please call us in advance of your booking to arrange.
Beau Monde Leisure: The owners of this property have provided all guests (up to the maximum occupancy of your cottage) with VIP membership of the Beau Monde Salon & Spa in Lucker. This membership provides you with access to the facility and discounted rates in the pool and fitness suite (charges apply). Guests are also entitled to a 5% discount on Food at The Apple Inn & Apple Core in Lucker, as well as a 5% discount on treatments at Beau Monde Salon and Spa (subject to availability).
Pets: 3 dogs are welcome @ £25 per pet per week or part thereof. Please note, pets are not allowed on the furniture or left in the property unsupervised.
