Old Farm, a former farm steading,  is a lovely holiday cottage, providing fantastic self-catering accommodation over 2 floors for up to 8 people, with 2 ground floor bedrooms. It is situated in the rural area of Adderstone, close to the pretty village of Lucker. Old Farm is one of six properties in Adderstone that are part of the Bamburgh First Collection.

Old Farm has level access to the property, two bedrooms on the ground floor, and an en suite wet room in Bedroom 1. Each hallway and doorway on the ground floor has been widened to allow wheelchair access.

It is located between the A1 and the scenic coastal village of Bamburgh. Adderstone is an attractive and accessible rural area, ideally positioned in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, perfect for those wishing to explore the many historic and iconic local sites nearby. Bamburgh is a 10 minute drive with its stunning Castle and beach, and Alnwick, 20 minutes with the fantastic Alnwick Castle and Gardens, and second hand bookstore, Barter Books. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is 25 minutes to the North, and the Cheviot Hills 20 minutes to the West. Shop: 0.6 miles (service station) Pub: 1.1 miles.


Accommodation over 2 floors

Ground floor:

Living area with comfortable seating, wood burning stove, Smart TV with Netflix. Patio doors leading to the garden.

Kitchen/dining area with cooker and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Nutribullet, hand held blender. Dining table and seating for 8 guests. Please note the kitchen worktops have not been lowered

Bedroom 1 with zip and link bed which can either be a super king or twin (please state your preference at the time of booking), bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobe, dressing table with mirror, flat screen TV. En suite wet room with shower, WC and washbasin.

Bedroom 2 with king size bed, bedside table, reading lights and small hanging area for clothes.

Bathroom with bath, shower over bath, WC and washbasin.


First floor:

Bedroom 3 with king size bed, bedside tables with reading lights and mirrored wardrobe.

Bedroom 4 with twin beds, bedside table and reading light. Small hanging area for clothes on the landing outside bedroom.

Bathroom with bath, shower over bath, WC and washbasin.


Garden: Enclosed courtyard with barbecue, picnic table and grassed area.

Parking: At the front of the property. A small flat mono-blocked area can be used as a drop off point for guests who may be less stable on their feet.

Heating: Oil central heating.

Also provided: WiFi. Bed linen and towels. Starter supply of logs. BOSE speakers, multi device charger, CD and DVD player. Travel cot, high chair, stair gate available upon request. Please note, the stair gate can only be positioned at the top of the stairs, and we do not supply a mattress or linen for the cot).

Beau Monde Leisure: The owners of this property have provided all guests (up to  the maximum occupancy of your cottage) with VIP membership of the Beau Monde Salon & Spa in Lucker. This membership provides you with access to the facility and discounted rates in the pool and fitness suite (charges apply). Guests are also entitled to a 5% discount on Food at The Apple Inn & Apple Core in Lucker, as well as a 5% discount on treatments at Beau Monde Salon and Spa (subject to availability).

Pets: 3 dogs are welcome @ £25 per pet per week or part thereof. Please note, pets are not allowed on the furniture or left in the property unsupervised.

The Bamburgh First collection was created by the owner, because they believed many second homes were filled with furniture and fittings owners didn’t want in their main house. The owner wanted to create accommodation as beautiful as the setting, and each house in the collection has been decorated by a professional interior designer.
