Built in the late 19th century to accommodate the families of workers renovating nearby Bamburgh Castle, this deceptively spacious Grade II listed cottage is situated on the southern outskirts of the coastal village of Bamburgh, a short walk across the dunes to a magnificent sandy beach. The cottage provides contemporary well designed holiday accommodation with an exceptionally large lawned garden to the rear and is in a quiet location with fields behind. The amenities of the village are within walking distance and 2 miles south is the bustling fishing port of Seahouses from where boat trips to the Farne Islands are available. Budle Bay, 1 mile north, is home to a wide variety of native and migratory wading birds. The many historic castles which are a feature of this part of Northumberland are all within easy reach by car. Wind surfing, sailing, horse riding and fishing can be enjoyed locally and the area has several splendid golf courses.

Living room with original stone fireplace, multi-fuel stove, TV with Freeview, DVD and CD radio.

Dining/kitchen with electric double cooker, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. 

Bedroom 1 - King-size bed. 

Bedroom 2 - King-size bed, zip and link can be small twin beds. 

Bedroom 3 - Twin beds.

Electricity and liquid petroleum gas central heating included.  Starter logs for multi-fuel stove provided.  Travel cot and highchair.  Large enclosed lawned garden to rear and side with patio area, furniture and charcoal barbecue.  Storage shed.  Off road parking for 2 cars.  Shop/PO/pubs/restaurants 0.5 miles.  Duvets with linen and towels.  2 pets welcome @ £15 per pet per week. 






Had a great stay, very nice cottage well suited to toddlers and dogs. Very spacious and comfortable especially the beds. Had a very nice week away, the weather was even kind to us! Would love to come back again.

Thank you for another wonderful stay! the cottage has everything you could need and has a real cosy feel to it. We've loved being across the road from the beach perfect for long dog walks. We've explored Rothbury, Simonside and Low Newton. Beadnell is stunning and brilliant for a paddle! Lovely fish and chips from Neptunes & Pinnacles ! (Seahouses). Can't wait to be back again at Christmas. Thanks again.

Thank you for such a lovely Armstrong Cottage. The cottage is gorgeous and very spacious (pictures do not do it justice!) with large, enclosed lawned area which Bella, the golden retriever loved. We have especially enjoyed the walk to the beach over the dunes. Weather mixed but last couple of days have been glorious with sun in the garden from early morning until late evening.
