Description

Situated in quiet residential surroundings on the south side of the River Tweed, this semi-detached bungalow offers cosy accommodation only 1 mile from the historic and fascinating town of Berwick upon Tweed. Berwick changed hands 13 times during the years of Border conflict and in those turbulent times its fine Elizabethan ramparts were constructed. They remain largely intact and provide a circular elevated walk offering breathtaking views of the town and estuary. The town boasts numerous facilities such as The Maltings arts centre, swimming pool, a military museum, a twice weekly market, Berwick Rangers Football Team, a speedway track, interesting shops, numerous pubs and a lovely sandy beach. It is a good central base to see the sights along the Heritage Coast, the Scottish Borders and a first-rate choice for bird watchers and walkers wishing to explore the Cheviot Hills. The enjoyment of this area can be experienced all year as the landscape offers a diverse facade for each changing season.
