Description

Positioned just above the Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club in the village of Embleton, with stunning views across this popular links course, to the beach and Castle beyond you’ll find 3 The Villas.

This is a much loved family holiday house - 3 storeys, beautifully furnished and equipped throughout and one of the most spectacular locations you’ll get along this part of the North Northumberland coast.

From the house it is about a half mile walk to the unspoilt beach at Embleton and walk north to Low Newton or south along the beach to the National Trust's Dunstanburgh Castle and Craster. After a walk, the golf club at Embleton provides a warm welcome and refreshments or, if you are walking further afield, The Ship Inn at Low Newton has its own micro-brewery and serves food (lobster its speciality) or the Jolly Fisherman in Craster has a lovely eating area overlooking the sea. Don't forget to try the renowned Craster Kippers from Robson's traditional smokehouse in Craster! Also only a short drive away is the market town of Alnwick, home to the Duke of Northumberland, with his Castle and Gardens, both open to the public. Following the coast north of Embleton you will find the seaside village of Seahouses, from where you may take boat trips across to the National Trust Farne Islands, and a bit further north still to Bamburgh with its iconic Castle and beach. Next stop is Holy Island - accessible only at low tide (check tide tables before visiting!) - to explore hidden beaches as well as the Castle and the ruins of the Priory.

The ideal get together house for extended families to enjoy, well situated for interest groups like golfers, birdwatchers, cyclists, photographers and walkers, or a group of friends coming together to celebrate,

Reviews

If I could award this house 6 stars I would. Everything from the position to the comfort, amenities, decor was wonderful. We had a large family party and everyone thought the same. The bedrooms were large and beds comfortable. Very sad to leave but have all said we will definitely come back.

Past Customer,

Our large family holiday - 7 adults and 4 children - was a great success. The arrangement of the bedrooms and bathrooms worked very well to give the families space and privacy. The outlook is superb. The short walk down to the beach is easy and the bay is wonderful. It was a great holiday.
