Description

This Victorian townhouse is located 50 metres back from the seafront and promenade in Newbiggin by the Sea, south of the mighty expanse of sand at Druridge Bay. 15 miles northeast of Newcastle, Newbiggin links the buzz of a vibrant city with the endless beauty of this stunning coastline. 2007 saw the completion of Newbiggin by the Sea's new sea defence breakwater and the first permanent offshore sculpture in the UK called 'Couple'. The sculpture of a man and a woman standing together looking out to sea was commissioned by Inspire Northumberland and was a unique project for the artist, Sean Henry. Woodhorn Country Park and Northumberland Museum are only 5 minutes by car. A short drive inland is the attractive market town of Morpeth with a leisure centre, swimming pool, a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants plus the added attractions of a Bagpipe Museum and Chantry Craft Centre. Hexham, Hadrian's Wall and the Roman Fort of Housesteads lie to the west and are well worth a visit. Further north lies the ancient town of Alnwick famous for it's castle and gardens and Holy Island accessible only by a fantastic causeway. Druridge Bay Country Park and beach combine country pursuits of bird watching, walking, canoeing and board sailing.

Ground floor - Lounge with log effect fire, TV with Freeview, DVD, video, and CD radio. 

Kitchen/diner with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, small, benchtop dishwasher, washer/dryer and French doors out to small patio area. Seating to seat up to 8 guests.

First floor - Bedroom 1 - Double Bed.

Bedroom 2 - Four poster bed, en-suite shower and WC. 

Bedroom 3 - Single bed. 

Bathroom with over bath shower and WC.

Second floor - Bedroom 4 - Twin beds.

Bedroom 5 - Double bed, single bed and cot.

Pets: 1 pet welcome at £30 per week or part thereof. Please note, pets must not be left in the property unattended and are only allowed on the ground floor. They must not be allowed on any furnishings.

 

WiFi available (not fibreoptic). Electricity and gas central heating included (Please be respectful of usage in the interest of saving the planet.) Travel cot and high chair available by prior arrangement only at an additional cost of £15 per item. If you require these, please specify at the time of booking. Please note there are no child stair gates in the property. A Z Bed is available for hire to be used in bedroom 2 (maximum sleeps is 10) at an additional cost. Please call us to discuss this cost. Roadside parking.  Shop/PO/pub 100 metres.  Duvets with linen and towels provided.
