Description

Nestled in beautiful open countryside with fantastic views, Nanny End is one of only three cottages in this location created from an old farm steading with special attention paid to retaining detail and character. This opulent single storey stone cottage has a coastal country feel oozing charm, perfectly balanced with a contemporary ambience throughout. Guests are intrigued by the name, it is in fact named after Long Nanny, the nearby stream. A short walk across open fields takes you to Beadnell Bay renowned for its extensive sweep of golden sands. This popular holiday destination has something for everyone with a broad range of water sports including sea kayaking, scuba diving and wind surfing or the less energetic can build sand castles or explore the rock pools. There are a good selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants in the lively village of Seahouses only 2 miles north. Here you will find an 18 hole links golf course, horse riding, fishing and the chance to take a boat trip to the nearby Farne Islands to experience a vast sea bird colony and grey seals in close proximity. Excellent swimming pool/leisure centre in nearby Alnwick.
