Nestled in beautiful open countryside with fantastic views, Nanny End is one of only three cottages in this location created from an old farm steading with special attention paid to retaining detail and character. This opulent single storey stone cottage has a coastal country feel oozing charm, perfectly balanced with a contemporary ambience throughout. Guests are intrigued by the name, it is in fact named after Long Nanny, the nearby stream. A short walk across open fields takes you to Beadnell Bay renowned for its extensive sweep of golden sands. This popular holiday destination has something for everyone with a broad range of water sports including sea kayaking, scuba diving and wind surfing or the less energetic can build sand castles or explore the rock pools. There are a good selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants in the lively village of Seahouses only 2 miles north. Here you will find an 18 hole links golf course, horse riding, fishing and the chance to take a boat trip to the nearby Farne Islands to experience a vast sea bird colony and grey seals in close proximity. Excellent swimming pool/leisure centre in nearby Alnwick.

Our self catering cottage is a single storey property with no steps.  We have tried to provide as much information as possible; if you have any queries please do call.


• We have a website with photographs and availability calendar
• Bookings and enquiries can be made by email or phone
• The nearest bus stop is approximately a ¼ mile from the cottage
• The nearest train station is at Chathill, 3 miles away
• We can arrange for local produce to be delivered on arrival
• We can provide information in large print on request

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• There is parking for 2 cars in the drive immediately outside the cottage. This area is gravelled.
• The cottage pathway is gently sloping with smooth paving directly to the front porch
• There are no steps into the house, other than the 10cm thresholds of the porch & front doors.
• Both porch and house doors are at least 770mm wide with keyholes at 950mm high

Main Entrance, Hallway Area

• There is an enclosed porch outside the front door, with an external door from the path

  • The hallway is at least 900mm wide, leading to the two bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room/kitchen
