Rathowen is located in a pretty harbour village, Beadnell, on the North East coast of Northumberland.  It has spectacular uninterrupted sea views and the sandy beach and harbour are just a short walk away.  Finished to a high standard throughout, it provides very comfortable accommodation for up to 8 people.  It benefits from a modern interior, spacious and bright living areas, a large enclosed and gated garden and private off road parking for up to 3 cars.  Beadnell is approximately the mid-point of the 30 mile stretch of Heritage Coast.  It is close to all the village amenities making it a great holiday base for family holidays and water sports enthusiasts.  The main appeal is the long sweeping sandy beach ideal for children to build sand castles. 

Beadnell is just 2 miles from Seahouses and 5 miles from the historic village of Bamburgh with its famous castle.  Alnwick, the seat of the Duke of Northumberland, with its castle and famous Alnwick Garden is 10 miles away.  Edinburgh and Berwick upon Tweed are both accessible by car within one hour.

Rathowen provides an excellent base to explore the cultural, inland and coastal heritage of Northumberland including the National Park, Farne Islands, Cheviot Hills and the Borders.  There are additional excellent golf courses nearby, e.g. at Seahouses, Dunstanburgh, Goswick and Bamburgh.

Electricity and oil CH included.  1 basket of logs provided during winter from October to March.  Highchair and stairgate.  Large enclosed lawned garden with patio, seating and barbecue.  Off road parking for 3 cars.  Garage with pool table and storage for bikes.  Duvets with linen and towels.  No pets.  No smoking in cottage please.
