Description
Tucked away in the corner of a courtyard this quaint 19th century, former fisherman's cottage is only a few metres from an often deserted sandy beach. The Hideaway is immaculately presented offering a cosy bolt-hole for couples hoping to escape their hectic lifestyles. Low Hauxley is located at the northern end of Druridge Bay and only 1.5 miles from Amble, known as the friendliest port, offering a wide variety of pubs, cafes and the flourishing award winning marina and colourful harbour. Boat trips are run from Amble around Coquet Island, a RSPB managed nature reserve which is designated as a 'site of special scientific interest' and is a safe haven for puffins, terns and seals. The market town of Alnwick, with its famous castle and gardens is within easy reach, while Bamburgh, Holy Island and the rest of the glorious Heritage Coast are waiting to be discovered. Altogether an ideal base to enjoy Northumberland's stunning scenery, explore the peace and tranquility of the National Park or visit the National Trust owned Cragside House and gardens at Rothbury.
