Reviews

We have just returned home after a week of staying at Lily Rose Cottage. The setting and surrounding views were stunning. Secluded but close to local villages by car. Hadrian's wall a popular tourist attraction is right on the doorstep just minutes from the cottage. The ponies, donkeys and sheep, who were just outside our cottage, kept us entertained daily. The cottage itself was gorgeous. Very spacious bathroom as you enter with bath and power shower. The kitchen has every thing you would need for your stay. Modern and well thought out with breakfast bar. The lounge and dining area were so homely and cosy. The exposed beams made the cottage feel more rustic and charming. The large bedroom with four poster bed was lovely. Great storage which is often lacking in some holiday homes. The en-suite was perfect, this meant we had a bathroom each which was great. Anne and Tim we so welcoming from the minute we arrived. They were very approachable and were there if we needed anything at all. They provided an amazing surprise birthday package for my partner which he was over the moon with. He never expected banners, balloons and a home made cake when we arrived.

Past Customer,

What a beautiful cottage and romantic setting. Postcard perfect, and lovely quiet location with no road noise. The only sounds you can hear are farm animals and chirping birds. Was lovely to see the Donkeys, Sheep, and Shetland Ponies at the garden wall. The bed was very comfortable, and rooms are very spacious. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. There is Freeview Satellite TV, Wifi, books and many board games for days in. Tim and Anne were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They really succeeded in fulfilling the romantic idea of a country cottage getaway. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to get away and unwind.

Past Customer,

This is a great cottage in such a lovely setting, and the perfect location for exploring one of the best-preserved sections of Hadrian’s Wall. Anne goes out of her way to help and make you feel welcome. The thoughtful little touches when we arrived made us feel at home right away. Thank you for making our stay so special! Would definitely recommend
