Standing in an elevated position on the outskirts of Haltwhistle which is known as the Centre of Britain, Coach House is one of three cottages. The resident goats and hens provide an additional ambience to this rural setting in tranquil surroundings. It is a perfect venue for a family get together to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary or just escaping from the hustle and bustle of city life. Ald White Craig Cottages are an excellent base to explore the most interesting sections of Hadrian's Wall. Being mid way along the stretch of The Wall, the Roman Forts of Housesteads, Vindolanda and Birdoswald can all be reached within a few minutes by car. The owner offers short breaks any day of the week including one night stays to accommodation people who are walking the Wall, can provide a drop off and pick up service along the Hadrian's Wall or arrange collection from Haltwhistle train station. Haltwhistle's unique position in the South Tyne Valley makes it an excellent location for those interested in wildlife, scenery and outdoor pursuits with splendid varied walking, fishing and pony trekking available locally. The town has a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a good range of amenities, together with first-rate train and bus services. The market town of Hexham with its Saxon abbey is 13 miles east, whilst the Border city of Carlisle is 20 miles west. Easy access to Northumberland National Park, the Lake District, the Dales and the Scottish Borders. Golf, fishing and horse riding locally.

Ground floor - Open plan living room with wood burning stove, TV with Freeview, DVD, well equipped kitchen area with dining table, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine.  Original archway with a glazed door leading to the shared patio area. 

First floor - Bedroom 1 - Double bed with vanity unit. 

Bedroom 2 - Twin bedded room with vanity unit. 

Bedroom 3 - Single bedroom at top of the stairs with bi-fold door. 

Bathroom with over bath electric shower and WC.


Electric heating.  Starter logs for stove provided.  Dryer available in shared laundry room.  Sorry no cot or highchair.  Duvets with linen and towels.  Pets welcome at an additional charge. Enclosed woodland area to exercise pets. Shared enclosed paved patio area with picnic tables and barbecue. Ample off road parking. Pubs/shops/PO/Cafe in Haltwhistle. Milecastle Inn 1 mile. 

Weekly bookings and short breaks can be taken starting any day of the week.
