Description
Orchard Cottage is part of Tottergill Farm Cottages which comprise of 10 luxurious stone cottages skilfully converted from former farm buildings. It is attached to the main farmhouse and features bi-folding doors which open onto a beautiful glass enclosed balcony with a newly installed hot tub overlooking Castle Carrock Reservoir. Recently Nestled on the slopes of Castle Carrock Fell to the north of the Eden Valley the cottages boast unrivalled panoramic views to the east over the Castle Carrock Reservoir and beyond to the hills of the Lake District and the Solway Firth. The Eden Valley is a hidden gem with countless footpaths and bridleways scattered across the entire region. There are walks to suit all abilities from leisurely strolls along the banks of the River Eden as it meanders north through picturesque villages until it reaches the historic Border City of Carlisle. Or energetic hikes up Cross Fell, the highest point of the Pennines Hills, to witness the tranquil solitude of this area known as “England’s Last Wilderness”. Carlisle, 13 miles, has a wide range of shops, an award winning Tullie House Museum, a castle and a cathedral. There are plenty of attractions to delight all ages including a visit to Hadrian’ Wall to learn more about the Roman Empire or go mountain biking, fishing, sailing and horse riding. Keen golfers can enjoy year round games of golf on Brampton Golf Course described as ‘the jewel of Cumbria’ only 2 miles away. The clubhouse is open to the general public and serves excellent food. Across the road from the clubhouse is Talkin Tarn Country Park where you can hire a rowing boat or take a relaxing circular walk around the tarn, then reward yourself with a cup of tea and a slice of cake. An extra bonus while staying at Tottergill Farm Cottages is complimentary access to a leisure club at a local hotel 10 miles away.

Private parking to the rear.
Pets: 2 dogs welcome at £30 per pet per week or part thereof. Please note that pets are not allowed on soft furnishings or upstairs. Please keep your dog on a lead in the yard and when walking through the fields due to livestock.
