Description

This eco-friendly stylish Bunkhouse sleeps up to 20 and uses the latest green energy technology. It can be booked with The 3 Bothies each sleeping 8. 4 well behaved dogs welcome in The Bunkhouse & 2 in The Bothies, all free of charge.

The Bunkhouse is on 1 level and is divided into 6 well proportioned rooms adjoined by a corridor at its rear. Ideal for disabled guests as there is ramp access at the rear door. The open plan kitchen/living space is contemporary with a wood pellet stove being a cosy and welcoming feature. Its large hand-built dining table and benches become a sociable space with pool table by uncovering the wooden table top. Each of the four family bedrooms are identical with two sets of bunk beds; single size on top and double on the bottom. At the far end of the property is a fresh and modern wet room with five separate cubicles; 2 WC’s, 2 showers and a wheelchair accessible shower cubicle with shower and WC. There are 3 sinks in the communal area. A south facing covered veranda spans the entire length of the property and affords stunning views; an idyllic space to dine alfresco after a day exploring the wild and rugged vistas that surround Tarset Tor.

Set within 5 acres with stunning views and along with Tarset Tor, offering unique high quality Bothy and Bunkhouse accommodation, which has been lovingly created from sustainable sourced cedar, ideal for the gathering of larger groups and extended families. The site also benefits from a small woodland that includes a bar, BBQ area and firepit facilities. There is also a small coarse fishing pond, ideal for children (supervision required at all times).

Employing a sustainable approach to tourism to preserve the beautiful Northumbrian landscape for future generations to enjoy is at the heart of Tarset Tor’s ethos. The dedicated owners have worked hard to keep the carbon footprint to a minimum by using renewable resources and buying locally.
