We are pleased to be working with Seahouses based Poacher's Produce,  to bring you restaurant quality food direct to your holiday home door.

Sharyn Cumming has been a professional chef for almost 30 years, the last 16 of which she has owned and operated a very successful independent restaurant in Haslemere, Surrey with her partner Louisa Hyde.  For a number of years they holiday'd as often as work schedules allowed on the North Northumberland coast, before deciding to by a holiday property of their own five years ago in Seahouses.

Following a desire to take a step away from the hectic and often unsocial restaurant hours, they made the decision to up sticks entirely and make the 350 mile move to Northumberland to live the dream, to bring good restaurant quality food, fresh from the kitchen to the home and holiday makers of the area.

Sharyn specialises in good home style recipes, believing that quality ingredients and unpretentious preparation is the key to respecting the produce and ultimately gives the resulting flavour and taste. So the combination of the fantastic local produce available in Northumberland and  Sharyn's skills in the kitchen provide endless possibility to create those restaurant quality meals to bring to you  -  at your door -  or your table.

All the meals are hand prepared by Sharyn and the portions and menu options offer a selection of choices for most tastes.  Dishes are sold separately so you can choose main dishes and side dishes and puds as required.  However, suggestions are made as to combinations that work well together. Special dietary requirements can be catered for on request.

Here at Stay Northumbria we've had the good fortune to try out a variety of Sharyn's recipes over the years, from her festive Christmas mince pies, to her fabulous local fish pie topped with fluffy mash created for 10 hungry diners, and we're looking forward to being guinea pigs for the new creations for 2015 - mmm mmmm - can't wait!
