Description
Rose Cottage is a charming 200 year old stone cottage which lies amid farmland, 400 feet above sea level with stunning views across the Glendale Valley. It is situated in the tiny hamlet of High Humbleton, near Wooler, on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, with the Cheviot Hills rising behind it. In the nights and evenings, take advantage of staying in a designated Dark Skies area and enjoy looking at the stars. Keep warm by the open fire and read one of the many books or play one of the games provided for guests.
Furnished with books and pictures, Rose Cottage feels like a home away from home, and benefits from a sun room and garden. The surrounding countryside provides unrivalled opportunities for hill walking or mountain biking. It is half a mile from the St Cuthbert’s Way long distance walk, and there are walks to the Cheviot Hills from the doorstep.
