Description
The Beeches is a comfortable detached bungalow situated in Weardale on a traditional hill farm with a herd of beef cattle and hardly fell sheep. The North Pennines region has been designated an area outstanding natural beauty and The Beeches is surrounded by open countryside packed with wildlife and superb scenery. There are many mapped walks straight from the door as well as horse riding nearby and many mountain bike tracks through the beautiful Hamsterley forest just 5 minutes by car. It is a short walk down to the river Wear where you can enjoy a picnic on the river bank or take advantage of the 1/4 mile of private stretch of fishing. This area is known for its dark skies with very little light pollution and on a clear night there is a spectacular view of the milky way.
Accommodation is all on ground level some steps up to the entrance door
Lounge: Spacious lounge with ample comfortable seating for 6 guests, Smart TV, piano, feature electric fire and french doors out onto patio with rattan furniture.
Games Room: Double glass doors through from lounge to games room ideal for teenagers and children as a chill out zone with a TV, PS3 games console, table football and board games.
Open Plan Kitchen diner: Well equipped kitchen area with dishwasher, larder fridge,electric oven, electric hob & microwave.
Utility Room: Washing machine, freezer and handy airing cupboard for hanging coats.
Bedroom 1: King-size bed with en-suite shower room, WC and wash hand basin. Bedroom has wardrobes, bedside tables with reading lamps and hair dryer. The shower room has jack and jill doors for access from main bedroom and utility room.
Bedroom 2: Double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Bedroom 3: Two large 4 ft single beds & chest of drawers.
Bathroom: Bath, wash hand basin and WC.
Outside space: Large enclosed lawned garden with flowering borders and patio outside french doors with garden furniture.

No smoking in property. the area outside the side door is undercover for parking bikes or leaving wellington boots.
