"Beautiful apartment - really made our stay. We've stayed in Beadnell for years now - its our family place for holidays - staying in various places. I'm sure we'll be back to this one! Weather perfect this week but it wouldn't have mattered if it had rained! "

    Holmes Family - Aug 2018

"Great last minute find for work trip turned into a long weekend with family. Facilities all to a good home standard and found it wonderfully clean and in good condition. Possibly same work contract next year so might well be back! "

Sally and Family - Jul 2018

"We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay. An excellent apartment - well equipped and maintained. Fantastic area with lots of great places to visit. We'll be back! "

Sue and Graeme - Jul 2018

"We've had a lovely stay - apartment is fantastic. "

Christine and Alastair - Jun 2018

"Well, what a gem this place is! We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking in this lovely apartment. Sitting on the balcony was great (and the weather was great too!) Although we knew the area quite well, we have never stayed in Beadnell before. We enjoyed wandering around the beaches that are very accessible from here and walking down to the harbour! Then there was that lovely, comfy bed at the apartment for us each night! "

The England Family - Jun 2018

"Enjoyed spending lots of time in the very modern, spacious penthouse flat. Loved the comfy bed and bath. Did a water colour painting (my hobby) from balcony of the views of distant hills and wind turbines. Also enjoyed having a local shop and two pubs. "

    Judy Thornton - Oct 2017

"What a lovely place to stay, even when it is raining! Still had some lovely days on some beautiful beaches. Beadnell is a lovely coastal village with great access to Alnmouth, Bamburgh, Alnwick and when tired and weary the apartment is a great place to return to. Edinburgh Fringe is on at the moment. Very busy. We went in on the train. Recommend you book ahead otherwise you'll be standing all the way. We've had a wonderful week."

Emma, Mike and Sophie - Aug 2017

"Another break in the fabulous penthouse flat. Walking and travelling to local villages. Eating recommended at Craster Arms and Beadnell Towers, try also the White Swan at Warenford."

    J.M. - Aug 2017

"Our second stay here - and just as lovely as the first! "

    Julien & Jill - Helenborough - Oct 2016

"A brilliant short break, so comfortable. So much to do & see, will have to return at a later date. Must tell our friends how fabulous this place is. "

John, Edith & Holly - Co Durham - Oct 2016

"Lovely, lovely place will definately be back. Craster Arms was fab (portions large) especially Fish 'n' Chips. Saltwater Cafe excellent for breakfast. "

Julie Hall (Blyth) - Sep 2016

"We really liked the apartment, we had a wonderful stay. It did not rain so we went to the beach alot, our favouite is Embleton. Northumberland is a very nice place but very far away."

The Saltmarsh Family, Derbyshire - Aug 2016

"Fantastic apartment - well equipped, spotlessly clean and wonderful views from the balcony. Weather has been great, which meant we were able to enjoy some brilliant walks - Beadnell to High Newton was very enjoyable for all ages (8+). Some great places to eat - Craster Arms, Joiners Arms (High Newton) and the Potted Lobster (Bamburgh), particularly memorable and good selection for fussy kids. Can't wait to come back!"

The Welsh Family - Aug 2016

"Our 3rd visit - Northumberland keeps on giving Recommendations - The Salt Water Cafe is excellent at any time of day. Keilder Observatory - a highlight, we had clear skies on our visit, stars are superb. For the keen walkers, the views atop Yeavering Bell are worth the climb - take a camera! Another fantastic stay in this lovely apartment. We are looking forward to our return visit. "

The Graham party (Bristol) - Jul 2016

"Absolutely beautiful apartment, couldn't fault it in any way. Stunning views from the balcony. Comfortable beds and furniture. Would love to return soon but would prefer to stay forever! "

    Peter & Joanne, Lincoln - Jul 2016

"Our third visit to this lovely apartment - would recommend to anyone. Places worth visiting are the gardens at Howick and Alnwick Castle and Garden. Good eating at The Beadnell Towers, Craster Arms and Joiners Arms at Newton."

    The Mallens - May 2016

"As ever it has been a fantastic break. We were blessed with fabulous weather delightful autumnal colours, exceptional days out & places to eat. It seems that Northumberland & the Penthouse has become our anual pilgramage as it is always so welcoming offering great opportunities to relax and unwind. We think we will not find new haunts to explore but we did - Seaton Delaval, Woodhorn & the Weeping Poppies, Cragside, Wallington, Lindisfarne and a trip to North Berwick. Our trip is never complete without a visit to Barter Books to stock up on our years library of reading! We enjoyed food at Barn at Beal, Salt Water Cafe among others. Once again a fabulous experience all round. "

    Keith & Sally, Nottingham - Oct 2015

"First visit to this area and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful beaches stratching for miles, quite lovely. Well worth visiting the Farne Islands and Holy Island (there was more on the island than we thought). Also Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle, very interesting. If in Alnwick don't miss Barter Books. We ate out mainly at the Craster Arms, food very good. We had a lovely week , hope to be back especially if we can book this apartment again. Fabulous is the word to describe it."

    May & Terry, Essex - Sep 2015

"Most people have expressed what we feel about this lovely area, a week is definately not lonh enough. Shall return when the puffins are around. The Sunset Cruise - amazing but now leaves at 6pm 9cancels if bad weather. The Neptune fish & chips are lovely (esoecially from those "Down South"). My husband has enjoyed living in this spacious place (as he hasn't hit his head on low beams as in fisherman's cottages) and I love the views! Many thanks. "

    T & S French (Hants) - Sep 2015

"This was our first visit to beadnell and it's a nice little village with a handy cafe and pub. We had 2 trips to Seahouses which was lovely. The apartment is beautiful and spacious and very comfortable. Loved the balcony and the layout of everything was exceptional. We made the most of our 2 full days and had 2 boat trips to the Farne Islands. Great meals to go with that also. Would recommend this definately. Hope to be back soon."
