**Brand new to the holiday letting market for 2017 , and under new ownership.**

Large traditional detached farmhouse situated on Holy Island. A holiday home with a difference - there is something ethereal about being "stranded" on an island. The tide cuts the island off twice a day (see safe crossing times which vary with the tides), and when the tide recedes revealing the causeway, you can drive on and off the island and explore more of the County.

So when you are on the island you'll find quite a bit to do. The Priory, the small independent shops, the Lindisfarne Mead distillery, two pubs which both serve food, two cafes, a post office store, there are many walks around and across the island, and the area is a mecca for wildlife lovers, photographers and dark skies enthusiasts. Note the castle is currently closed for major renovations and is due to re-open April 2018, but stands proud at the end of the Castle Walk overlooking the sound between the island and the mainland at Ross Sands.

"We have had a lovely relaxing week at St Coombs Farmhouse. The dogs have enjoyed walking round the island and loved the beaches. "

The Cooke Family - Oct 2017

"This has been our 6th stay on the island and by far the best accommodation. Everything about the farmhouse is excellent and we have had a lovely time. First time we have stayed on the island for a whole week without leaving once. Nothing compaires to the peace you feel here once the causeway is closed. Really hope to return to St Coombs. Thank you. "

Lesley, Andy, Conogh, Brogan - Sep 2017

"Lovely house and a good weeks break in spite of 'changable' weather! Everything works well, including the en-suite shower once we mastered its controls! Lovely Stay! xx"

    Pooley-Cook Family - Aug 2017

"We have very much enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. Walking the island hour after hour, after hour is truly wonderful. We hope to return next year if you are still renting it out and it has not been sold. We are drawers and writers and the island has so much to offer, going back to North Yorkshire feeling inspired and rested. May the peace and harmony of the island always bring you peace and harmony and always a sense of well being. Many Thanks x"
