Frequently used by the owners, this cosy Northumberland holiday retreat has been refurbished as a nice, homely country bolthole, in a rural setting, yet only a short drive from the coast at Bamburgh with its magnificent castle and beach, or the historic Holy Island, just a few miles north.
Situated on the edge of a working farm just outside the old coaching village of Belford, Burn Bank Holiday Cottage is an end of terrace, ex farmworkers cottage, well placed for enjoying the delights of the local wildlife - around the farm, deer and fox are often to be seen and from the cottage you can sometimes even spot red squirrels. The tranquil area is also a joy for bird-watchers with curlews, amongst others, frequently to be seen. From the doorstep there are lovely walks to be enjoyed, perhaps with your dog, along the open lanes or the footpath beside the stream up onto the moor behind. Back at the cottage the spectacular conservatory affords extensive countryside views behind the cottage, or cosy up to the traditional wood-burner in the sitting room. In the distance from the kitchen on a clear day you can see the sea.
Steps up at the front of the cottage lead into a small porch with coat hanging and shoe storage with an inner door into the main building
