Our properties are individually inspected by a member of our team to ensure that the standards offered are those which you as our guest will be happy with.
In addition, many properties are graded under the Visit England Quality Assurance Scheme, and these have a star rating which is displayed on the property web entry.
The Scheme demands that the property is measured against an extensive list of minimum requirements and then levels of quality and presentation determine the final rating.
Put simply, the more stars, the higher the overall level of quality, facilities and service you can expect to find. We only include properties that have been awarded a three star or above rating, and those that are not officially rated have been designated to have met those requirements or higher.
There are minimum requirements for grading and Information about what is required for each star grading is shown below. The full details of the requirements for each star grading are available here. For somewhere special, see our Luxury Properties page which features all accommodation which has achieved a four star rating with gold award or higher.
The Vist England Welcome scheme highlights establishments that have facilities or services for people who enjoy cycling or walking, families and those travelling with pets.
